In a remarkable display of unity and collaboration, the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce hosted the "Breaking Bread" business networking event at the Pakistan House in New York. This distinguished gathering drew an audience of over 150 business leaders celebrating the spirit of togetherness and cooperation. The event saw the participation of notable figures, including NYC Small Business Services Commissioner Dynishal Gross, Pakistan Deputy Consul General Muhammad Umar, Adnan Mahmood Awan, Trade & Investment Minister at the Consulate General of Pakistan, Mark Meyer Appel, the founder of The Bridge Multicultural Project and Richie Taylor, Deputy Chief of the NYPD.
The event was a vibrant hub of energy, bringing together a diverse array of businesses across various sectors such as construction, women-owned minority enterprises, discount stores, and jewelry shops. The atmosphere was electric as over 25 businesses were lauded with recognition awards for their leadership in the small business community. These awards, presented by the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with NYC SBS Commissioner Dynishal Gross, highlighted the power of commerce in fostering unity across diverse communities.
James S. Kim, Chairman of Operations for the Board of the Korean American Chamber of Commerce, was another significant participant. State Assemblyman Michael Novakhov (NY-45) delivered an impactful speech on the importance of building bridges through commerce.
