BROOKLYN, NY — April 16, 2026 —
New York City’s real estate and development community gathered Thursday evening for the “Best of Brooklyn Real Estate Showcase,” a premier industry event convening top developers, financial institutions, policymakers, and business leaders at the Made in NYC Campus at Bush Terminal.
The event was co hosted by the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, and featured keynote remarks from Ahmed Tigani, Commissioner of the New York City Department of Buildings.
Bringing together both public and private sector leadership, the showcase underscored the growing urgency—and opportunity—around housing development, infrastructure, and economic growth across Brooklyn and greater New York City.
Commissioner Tigani highlighted the critical role of the Department of Buildings in ensuring that development across the city is not only efficient, but also safe, compliant, and aligned with the long-term vision for sustainable growth.
The event featured a curated selection of major Brooklyn developments and community initiatives, including The Dupont, The Arcadian, the Brooklyn Basketball Training Center, and the Atlantic Avenue BQE Murals—reflecting the borough’s dynamic blend of residential expansion, commercial investment, and cultural revitalization.
Backed by leading institutional sponsors such as JPMorgan Chase, Citizens Bank, TD Bank, Two Trees Management, Industry City, and REBNY, the evening demonstrated the depth of financial and organizational commitment driving Brooklyn’s continued transformation.
Beyond the showcase itself, the event served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration between government leaders, developers, and the broader business community.
“It was a true honor hosting NYC Buildings Commissioner Ahmed Tigani together with our partners at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and bringing together such a strong cross-section of leadership focused on the future of New York City,” the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce noted. “We look forward to continuing to collaborate and advocate on behalf of housing development—working closely to support both residents and developers across NYC.”
With New York City continuing to face mounting pressure around housing supply, affordability, and regulatory challenges, gatherings like the Brooklyn Real Estate Showcase play a critical role in aligning stakeholders and advancing real solutions.
As Brooklyn continues to lead as a hub of growth and innovation, the collaboration between city agencies, business leaders, and development partners signals a forward-looking approach to building a stronger, more accessible New York City for all.
