On call with Orthodox Jewish Chamber Gov Murphy Commits to keeping NJ Businesses open and Safe

It is an accepted fact that in trying times, some people tend to blame others for any misfortunes. On a call with the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce, and Lakewood New Jersey businesses, Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli and officials from Governor Murphy’s administration said they will work directly with the Orthodox Jewish Chamber and the community “every step of the way” as a team to overcome any challenges from any rising numbers of Covid-19. They also committed to work together on solutions to address any rise of Covid -19, and most of all reassured everyone that they intend to keep all businesses open and working.

To reinforce this point, the governor tweeted out to the public a message reassuring New Jersey businesses that he is here to help businesses flourish and operate safely. Honig said, “Thank you, Governor Murphy, for your leadership reiterating your administration’s commitment to work with the Orthodox Jewish Chamber and all Lakewood Township N.J.businesses in these trying times in keeping our businesses safe and afloat.

In another strong message of commitment to the Jewish community, the Governor recently pledged to Duvi Honig at the Governor’s roundtable, an event outside the Sheriff’s Emergency Operations Center, Miller Air Park, Berkeley Township, that his administration will take a stand to make sure no one singles out Lakewood for any rise in COVID-19 numbers. He stressed that no antisemitism or anyone seeking to instigate antisemitism will be tolerated in New Jersey.
