In a landmark event held at Seoul City Hall, the Deputy Mayor of Economy Joo Yongtae of Seoul Metropolitan Government hosted an Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce's delegation together with its founder and CEO, Duvi Honig and esteemed board member Steve Rosenberg, to announce the opening of its South Korea chapter. This strategic move follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Chamber and the Korean government, aimed at fostering economic and business development within the region.

 

The high-level meeting highlighted the Chamber's commitment to enhancing the Korean economy with a particular focus on establishing robust business connections. A key feature of the event was the introduction of Rabbi Osher Litzman as the newly appointed ambassador of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce in Seoul. Rabbi Litzman will serve as the local representative, facilitating direct relationships and serving as a resource for Chamber members requiring support in South Korea.

 

Among the distinguished attendees were Steve Rosenberg of Graystone Capital, a valued Board Member of the Chamber, and Rabbi Osher Litzman, the Chamber's Korea ambassador. The gathering was graced by the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Economy Joo Yongtae of Seoul Metropolitan Government, who generously hosted the event. Additionally, the Chamber presented Deputy Mayor Joo with a symbol of appreciation—a Chamber pin—to signify this burgeoning partnership.

 

The high level meeting included participation from notable leaders in Seoul's economic development initiatives, including Kim Jeong Beom, Director of the Startup Policy Division; Chun Seun, Director of the Finance & Investment Division; Lee Keunha, Team Leader of the Finance & Investment Division; and Kim Hyun-Woo, CEO of the Seoul Business Agency (SBA).

 

The Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce looks forward to a fruitful collaboration with South Korea, leveraging its extensive network to foster mutual economic growth and cross-cultural exchanges.
