Orthodox Jewish Chamber participates at Annual Port Authority of New York & New Jersey Annual Luncheon


 
The Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce was deeply honored to have had the opportunity to participate in the recent Luncheon hosted by The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, the Maritime Association of the Port of New York & New Jersey, and the Shipping Association of New York & New Jersey. 
 
The Luncheon was a truly enlightening experience, allowing Business leaders to hear updates on port performance, critical infrastructure projects, and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead for our community. It was evident that the leadership of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey is deeply committed to ensuring the continued success and growth of NJ NY ports, while prioritizing safety, security, and innovation in their approach.
 
During the Luncheon, the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce had the privilege of briefing the NY NJ Port Authority Leadership on a new AI foolproof innovative security initiative. This initiative aims to provide our ports, airports, and port authority police force with cutting-edge technology to protect against identity theft and false identities. The Chamber's commitment to safety and security in the community was reaffirmed through the presentation, and it was evident that the Port Authority leadership appreciated the effort to introduce such innovative solutions to enhance security measures.
 
The Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce is committed to continuing to work collaboratively with the Port Authority of NY & NJ and its esteemed leadership. The Chamber recognizes the vital role that the Port Authority plays in the economic growth and stability of the region, and looks forward to contributing to the continued success and safety of our ports and infrastructure.
 
The leadership of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, including Port Authority Chairman Kevin J. O'Toole, Port Authority Executive Director Rick Cotton, Port Director Beth Rooney, and Port Director Newark/NY U.S. Department of Homeland Security TenaVel Thomas, has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in their approach to port management. Their dedication to addressing the complex challenges facing the port and maritime industry, while embracing opportunities for growth and advancement, is truly commendable.
 
At the port authority luncheon, the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce was introduced to United States Coast Guard Commander Dan McQuate. This introduction signals a new partnership between the chamber, which represents the Jewish business world and beyond, and the Coast Guard. 
 
This introduction opens the door for the chamber to work closely with the Coast Guard in emergency response and disaster relief situations on behalf of its members and businesses in general.

The Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce expressed its sincere gratitude to The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, the Maritime Association of the Port of New York & New Jersey, and the Shipping Association of New York & New Jersey for hosting a valuable and informative Luncheon.
