Brauser Maimonides Academy (BMA) is a preschool–8th grade Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School committed to academic excellence in both Judaic and General Studies, while maintaining a warm, nurturing learning environment in which our students thrive intellectually, socially, and spiritually. We are seeking a dynamic and growth-oriented Judaic Studies Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to connect deeply with Jewish texts and traditions, encourage critical thinking, and create a meaningful and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons focused on Jewish texts, traditions, and values, utilizing the curriculum provided by the school.
  • Encourage meaningful discussions that foster a deeper connection to Judaic studies and Jewish identity.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of middle school students.
  • Create a respectful and engaging classroom environment that promotes Torah values and intellectual curiosity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment and support student learning.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, embodying BMA’s core values.
  • Communicate effectively with parents to promote student progress and success.
  • Supervise students during non-instructional times, ensuring a safe and positive environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Judaic Studies, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, particularly in Judaic Studies in elementary or middle school.
  • Strong knowledge of Jewish texts, traditions, history, and values.
  • A passion for Modern Orthodox values and Torah Umadda education.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to serving as a role model for students in personal behavior, dress, and attitude.
