Why Our Certification Stands Apart

70%

FROM CORPORATE AMERICA

30%

FROM GOVERNMENT

Following our historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce was advised by Department of Commerce and MBDA leadership to establish and administer its own Minority Business Certification program to help expand opportunities for qualified minority-owned businesses. Built upon that guidance, we developed a rigorous certification and vetting process that is reinforced by two significant national collaborations. Approximately 70% of supplier diversity opportunities are found within Corporate America, while approximately 30% are associated with government procurement programs.

The OJC Minority Business Certification is designed to help qualified businesses build credibility and position themselves for major corporate contracts and supplier diversity programs.

Government certification requirements vary by state, municipality and federal agency. Applicants should always review eligibility requirements of the specific contracting authority.
