Why Become Certified?
Our MBE Certification is designed to help qualified businesses:
Focused on Corporate America
Industry estimates indicate that approximately 70% of supplier diversity opportunities originate within Corporate America, making corporate supplier diversity and procurement programs among the most valuable pathways for business growth.
While our certification may also provide opportunities within the public and government sectors, our primary mission is to help certified businesses build lasting relationships with Corporate America’s supplier diversity and procurement community.
Every application undergoes a comprehensive vetting and due diligence process before certification is issued, ensuring the integrity, credibility, and value of every certification awarded.
We welcome qualified businesses from all minority communities to apply and become part of a growing network dedicated to business excellence, economic opportunity, and meaningful partnerships.
FROM CORPORATE AMERICA
FROM GOVERNMENT
Following our historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce was advised by Department of Commerce and MBDA leadership to establish and administer its own Minority Business Certification program to help expand opportunities for qualified minority-owned businesses. Built upon that guidance, we developed a rigorous certification and vetting process that is reinforced by two significant national collaborations. Approximately 70% of supplier diversity opportunities are found within Corporate America, while approximately 30% are associated with government procurement programs.
The OJC Minority Business Certification is designed to help qualified businesses build credibility and position themselves for major corporate contracts and supplier diversity programs.
Government certification requirements vary by state, municipality and federal agency. Applicants should always review eligibility requirements of the specific contracting authority.
